bass effects??

well ive been trying to get some bass lines going with my bass guitar Ive been using a boss syb-5 to try to get the sounds that ive heard listening to dnb like filters, waveforms, etc.

but the syb-5 has terrible tracking any suggestions for pedals or effects or just anything to get the synth sounds?

It's virtually impossible to create those modern moving bass sounds with synthesis and effects, not to mention playing live bass - you'd need to resample some sounds. Put an filter LFO to a sound, record it to the computer, change the lfo, record that, combine the two to create a pulsating rhythm etc.
