Following the huge success last year of Knowledge mag's 'BarKnowledge' sessions in the heart of the French Alps, the celebrated London club night returns to the gorgeous town of Chamonix for yet more beats, altitude and booze fuelled parties. As well as rocking the foundations at Brick Lane's Café 1001 throughout 2006 and the British Snowboard Championships (Brits )in Switzerland, BarKnowledge hosted five snow-dusted bashes in Chamonix that were as explosive as a dynamite-fuelled avalanche. Last year's resident spinner - and pro-snowboarder - Scott Nixon is back on board for 2007, and will be dishing up a delicious selection of drum & bass, breaks and hip hop alongside special guests. With Shimon, Aquasky and The Mixologists all rocking BarKnowledge in 2006 and Shimon, Darren Jay and Davide Carbone already lined up for this year's monthly showdowns, high quality entertainment is guaranteed. Speaking about the return of BarKnowledge, Scott Nixon said: "I'm really looking forward to hosting BarKnowledge in the mountains again, it promises to be one of the biggest nights around." Promoter Rachel Patey added: "Knowledge is thrilled to be returning to Chamonix for another year of parties. Last year we proved that après ski music isn't all about terrible 80s rock and cheesy euro pop, and out mission this year is to do the same again!" BarKnowledge takes place monthly at Chamonix's Cantina Club.
