Dubstep:

Some seriously cracking releases this week!! Legendary producer and Digital Mystikz member Mala see's his classic "Changes" release receive a treatment from none other than chart bothering electronic music genius James Blake! Blake is firmly rooted in the Dubstep scene and he credits the early days of the scene as massively influencial in his early productions. It was first heard three years ago and only available to a very limted select few inner circle DJ's. It finally gets released and is available on Deep Medi.

Also New Zealand trio Truth have slim lined down to a duo and it seems to have produced some very impressive results. They have released on just about every label in the business and now they release on one of the best as the mighty Tempa comission two fine pieces of deep work with the "The Devils Hand" and "Belong" ft. Yayne.

Wonky / Bass Music:

Very busy week this week. Ninja Tune release "First Fires" the second single from "The North Borders", the critically acclaimed album by Bonobo which features vocals from Cinematic Orchestra's Grey Reverend and Erykah Badu.

James Blake launches his new label 1-800-Dinosaur with "Voyeur" a track taken from his "Overgrown" album which features a sublime ambient soundscape on the flip. Blake also provides an monumental remix of the classic "Changes" by Mala which first surfaced 3 years ago but only now sees the light of day.

Also on an ambient tip, Glasgow based Korless joins the ranks of Young Turks with "Yugen" a 5 track E.P which explores beatless, Synth laden, atmospheric territory. Finally Bristol heads DJ Die and Addison Groove pair up and drop some serious club movements taking in footwork and old skool Jungle flair on Die's Gutterfunk label.
