Okay sorry I should have been clearer. Dunno if it's just me but I feel like compared to the good albums, there have been a higher number of disappointing albums compared to this time last year.

I do get it's personal tastes and where you look and all, but yeah, we digress from this particular LP.

True. I never held high hopes for this from day 1 to be honest. D&B long players have always been a challenge to get right though. You get the artists that think some non D&B makes it an album and in some cases it's the complete opposite. I think the 3 I've mentioned are fantastic though and possibly do overshadow others so far this year.

true, a lot of dnb long players will have the token breaks track, token hip hop track etc. almost for the sake of it...like you say doesn't automatically make it a coherent 'album'

As for how the album sounds... passing on it. 2018 hasn't really been a great year so far for LPs imo.
