You know what I mean if your around my age. Trying to find your mates, endlessly walking about all the places, woods, park, alleyways behind the shops. Calling for your mates, mum says "He left 5 minutes ago". When you finally found them someone says theyve "Got to go in for dinner in 10 minutes".

i got a pager around 94 thinking it was good invention... . i got my first mobile a few months later after realising how shit it was...

i remember phoning my bird just for the sake of it as no-one else i knew had a mobile and i had no use unless somone phoned me for stuff. my first phone bill was over £100. i was wounded.

i remember when you could go in a car full of mates to a rave and not see 2 or 3 again until you met at the car at the end of the night. those were the days. the surprise meet at that tent, and a shared spliff before off to venture to the unknown in pairs.

great days.

before mobiles was great! it was easier to plan stuff!
now of course you can turn up late and back out at the last second thanks to text messages!

my first mobile stored 30 numbers and didn't have sms. i had a belt clip with it and wore it with pride! when i did get a phone that could send texts i was like, pffft thats never catch on, if i wanna tell someone a sentance consisting of 48 letters i'll just call them!

aw HELL yeah yo. i was rockin a pager back in the day. with nobody calling on it. plus it wasnt very practical. didnt remedy the phone situation at all. still had to guess whos house they couldve gone off to. then call that house and ask for the kid who lived there, then ask him if the guy you were looking for was there.

The "communal bucket" set-up in the garden/outhouse/shed of the local abandoned property...

More scared of getting the water in your mouth than anything.
