I've found an absolutely fantastic FREE VST effect that can rip apart anything and fuck it up!

Personally I find it best to use on drumloops, but can be used on anything really! Real simple to use, and can bring great inspiration to your tracks.

In literally a couple of minutes I threw together these two loops as an example of what it can do, I havnt messed too much, but you can really go crazy with it!

It's called dblue glitch, and can be found here;

The page has a download link, and also a youtube tutorial video too!

ENJOY!

am gonna have some fun with this tonight might come in handy with the production comp me thinks.

Oh FREEK mate seriously, those two beats were just simple staightforward breaks that i put through it. I was gentle with the demo beats, but you can really mess things up! You can turn a simple break into something soooo glitchy it makes you want to throw up in your mouth!

Best thing I've found in ages! ...........And I like to share with you guys! ;)

We've been using this for about 3 years now, its a cool little plug-in. Very easy to over do it though and some effects work better with specific sounds. Bit crusher and stretch were the 2 that stood out for me. I believe its written by an amateur programmer hence why it doesn't have Mac support, it doesn't work with vst wrappers either but does work surprisingly well with Ableton.

Good work Mr Fletch!

Peace

Not sure what it works well with TBH, Just stumbled across it and thought I'd share the joy!

I use FL studio and I havnt had any problems with it at all yet! ;)

We use Pro Tools on the main studio PC, hence I know why it doesn't work with vst wrappers. I would have thought dedicated vst hosts would work well with it, cubase, ableton and such like.

Never been a fan of fruity loops but it has come a long way since I last sat down to have a go with it. We don't use Glitch whilst writing but tend to bounce stuff down from PT and push that over to the 2nd PC where we run Ableton. I have given up trying to run vst's with Pro Tools, its just not worth the hassle hence why we run a 2nd PC. Sometimes I'll use it to create unique samples, a bit of an all-in-one multi fx type plug-in... the filters on it are heavy!!

Peace

Safe Fletch this is some good shit!! that glitch + bass tune is rude btw :D

That demo took quite literally 2 minutes to do using this glitch plugin!

Take one simple drum break, run through glitch. Add a simple bassline, also run through glitch = Recipe for an interesting demo
