I'm not a noob, I've had plenty of avatars with no problems.

I'm telling you that there is something wrong. It wont let me change it.

Yeah I just tried to change an avatar in the console. 100 x 100 pixels. Got this error:
Imageinfo Failed:
PHP Error: The function exec() has been disabled.
