ive tried searching for this but it just brings subjects to do with avatars on here which is annoying so apologies if this is a repost.

watched it last night in 3D in kensington odeon. its the best film ive ever seen. i was nearly crying at one point. just the most encapsulating piece of cinema ever made.

everyone was banging onto me about how good it was but i just thjought yeah right it looks bollox, typical fancy sci fi bullshit marketed to the max and been done before. how wrong.

i want to know if anyone hates it. surely everyone agrees its amazing. it was like the first time i saw the matrix, just totally blown away. fucking amazing story b2b special effects.

My top 3 are actually closer to a top 8, everchanging dependant on my mood.

The Shining, The Usual Suspects, Se7en, Avatar 3D, Aliens, Wall-E, The Terminator, Little Shop Of Horrors

The Shining will always remain at number 1 though.

None of those are anywhere near as good, in my humble opinion, Deer Hunter is a top notch film though, no fucking doubt.

Not in the same league though, for me.

I was going to see it a few weeks back with the misses, but when we got there it full of kids and I saw the film was 3 hours long... I can't be arsed to sit in the cinema and watch a 3 hour film surrounded by loud kids (in all fairness we did go on a Saturday afternoon)
We watched The Road instead... not a bad film, pretty depressing!

I think I will wait till Avatar comes out in HD to watch it.

    greddie.

growing crops and taming dragons cannot really be compared, also it reads that two cultures reolve their differences which doesnt happen in avatar. tbh i havent watched any disney films recently and i would question anyone who came out of avatar 3D and said "ffs thats space pochahontas"

die hard is mental, so is casio :p and no i havn't seen a copy of it, ive only seen adverts.. and from the adverts you can usually tell if a film is shit or not.. and avatar 'LOOKS' shit... but never seen it, so can't really say that.

@ 'hard man'?? because i don't wanna watch a cartoon about blue things? ok.... i just like my films to be realistic with gritty storylines..
