    Ez peeps, tried recording a mix the other day on a mac using audacity and it crashed (again!). I was using goldwave on my pc which was working well but you can't use it on mac which is annoying. Anyone know any other decent free audio recording software programs to use that aren't vulnerable to crashing?
    Thanks in advance.

    Go to system preferences

    -> Sound
    -> Input
    -> "Use audio port for" should be on output, just change it to input

    Then open quicktime player

    -> File
    -> New Audio Recording.

    Should do the trick.

    garage band will work fine and it should already be on ur mac.

    i feel ur pain about goldwave, i loved that program

    bias peak pro is a nifty program but is far to complicated for what i need

    audacity is fine for me, i dont think it has ever crahsed out on me.

    logic should record mixes too
