saw walk the line on dvd today, that was quite good and i didnt get bored even though its over 2hours
saw pirates of the caribbean 2 last week and that was only average, despite having some really entertaining ideas and special effects.

Went & saw ~Superman last night. It was ok, but i think the end was a bit pony. anyone else agree?
Oh and i also got dragged to see the "Lake House" with a girl (we were meant to see pirates 2, but it was fully booked-bstards!) For the love of god please do not see the Lake house.. Wasted 2hrs of my precious life and such a ridiculous story line that was probably thought up by two LSD chomping monkeys!
However, i'm looking forward to KEEEEEEEEEEENOOOOO Reeves new film "A Scanner Darkly". Looks heavy.

I watch a lot of movies so this is a bit tough...

In the Theatre: I saw the "Pirates 2", was entertaining but lacked a more solid denouement. I think the big movie of the summer for me is gonna be "Clerks 2: Passion of the Clerks", Kevin Smith is long overdue for a good film + it has all the original actors for Dante, Randall, Jay & Silent Bob.

One the DvD: I watched "The Machinist" again last night, i love this film. So broody and suspenseful like the good old Hitchcock stuff. I finally got my hands on a DvD copy of "Event Horizon". This is a mindblowing film with really great sound if you got the whole 5.1, 6.1, or 7.1 (like me). Beyond that i have really dug in to the X-Files TV show because i bought the first 6 seasons on DvD. This was a great show, X-Files is to the 90's what Quantum Leap was to the 80's.

I hate hate hate Event Horizon. One of the worst films I've ever seen... Personal taste though,

I suggest you read A Scanner Darkly, by Phillip K Dick, the schizo (he was) who wrote Blade Runner (Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep). It will twist your mind harder than any LSD, makes The Matrix seem straight forward.

I went to the cinema to watch Superman and F&F Tokyo Drift.

On dvd I've been watching the works of Stanley Kubrick, Natural Born Killers and Taxi Driver.

I reckon I'm going to watch either The Godfather Trilogy, Scarface, or Blow next (y)

I saw Walk the Line on Sunday.

Did not find it as entertaining as Ray but still a good film.

    Blow is excellent.

Kidulthood - good film about yout tugs in London (YAGETMI)

The Island - another good'un, standard Action/ Thriller with a few twists, with Ewan McGregor and some fit blonde (OH SHIT RUN)

Cock & Bull Story - Steve Coogan & Rob Brydon, this was a bit long to watch, had it's funny moments but I would of got more laughs from watching 3 episodes of Family Guy, if your big into off-key humour Id suggest it (Plural of Fetus = Fetii?)

Jarhead - Not my cuppa at all..zzzzzz...

Mean Machine - watched that again last night since it was on TV, another good British film (y)

If you don't mind foreign films with subtitles try Ciudad de Dios (city of god) which is a brazilian ghetto film, Amor Es Perros (loves a bitch/dogs) mexican film that involves dogs in three stories that link together or 9 reinas (Nine queens) about two argentinian conmen.

oh grim as in its so well made and realistic mate, no romanticised shit like in the typical gang flicks. Its brilliant and Im glad a lot of people saw it, but a bit of an ordeal to watch. that type of grim.
