Someone told me they were, but i think they sound pretty different from DnB. Would you call them Drum & Bass?

Knowledge called them "alternative dnb" and got rightly slagged off for doing that.

But then, enduser's considered D&B. He gets pretty close to v snares. It's all part of a spectrum, rather than neat little groups. Some v snares stuff gets pretty close to what I'd call D&B.

Not really as they don't produce shit exclusively with breakbeats. Pointless trying to categorise them anyway :lol_board

its kind of like trying to pigeon hole Aphex Twin etc... its pointless.

i dont know how you woulsd catergorise Squarepusher... he has done some 'dnb ish; tunes ...but he certainly isnt a dnb artist.

as for Venetian Snares ...hes juts a mental mother fucker! haha.. he has been playing at many 'breakcore' nights but breakcore itself doenst stick to one genre of music...

so to sum up... dont worry about it..stop pigeon holing everything and just enjoy it...:drunk:

oh..and if you like those two then check out Aaron Spectre as well...
