Over at Knowledge HQ we’re busy getting our shit together for the upcoming radio show on www.lifefm.co.uk and it’s going to rock. Basically think of it as an extension of what we do in the magazine and on the website, ie: a hearty sonic stew of all your favourite drum’n’bass, breaks and hip-hop all brought to you by the illustrious beat surgeon: DJ Dr Khan. He’ll be playing all manner of unreleased tracks, promos, and white labels...basically having access to all the forthcoming tunes that are going be rocking a dancefloor near you soon.

Besides our resident “medic” doing his thing we’ll have a guest mix courtesy of Mathematics from Social Studies Records. As well as that, if that’s not enough to squeeze into two hours, we’ve got the “producer’s corner” where we profile a chosen…erm…producer. So you’ll be able to get a heads up on their future releases, gigs and all that jazz as well listen to their exclusive dub plates.
Also on the menu we’ve got a wicked competition, the prize being a Ganja record bag and a copy of the limited edition ‘Dubplate Killaz’ picture disc. All you have to do is answer this easy question:

How did the famous nutter Attila the Hun meet his maker?
A) He was killed on the battlefield by lifelong enemy Ivan the Terrible
B) Knowing he was allergic to nuts his son, Ezis Inor, poisoned him
C) He bled to death from a nosebleed on his wedding night
D) Being particularly fond of horses, in an inappropriate manner, he contracted equestrian syphilis which very quickly finished him off

You can answer the question on the Life FM website (www.lifefm.co.uk), the winner will be announced at the end of April’s show.
Finally if that’s not enough: any aspiring producers out there who want to get some air play this is your chance…this is open to unsigned artists only, so if that’s you AIM your stuff over to saraknowledge and if she likes what she hears you might just have made your first step towards the giddy heights of superstardom.
So pencil this into your diaries: www.lifefm.co.uk, Thursday 13 April, 8 – 10pm, The Knowledge Magazine Show. No excuses…
