It's all good

sounds daft - but the james brown thing is funk isnt it , even though its with a band (live) the musical patterns / structure is more inline with patterns assosiated with funk not jazz ...

i could be wrong ...

id say this is more like jazz but i spose "jazz" as a term can reflect on any sound aslon as it fits the constructed key scale changes .....

jazz is beautiful i love the improvisational aspect of it. everymonday we have a jazz collective play where i work. the sax has to be one of the most beautiful sounding instruments in the world...

jazz is one of the most pretentious musics, but i still love it.!
Miles Davis gotta be the king of coolness, if you arent in the know, listen to "Bitches Brew", best introduction to jazz imo.
someone smarter than me once said that "Jazz is the only music where the performers enjoy the gig more than the audience."
so true!

dont know why they say that, they say all sorts of dildoey things about jazz, like its the last resort for talentless musicians and so on, must mean its a very pretentious scene when you get into it
