you need to use a line output from your tape deck (preferred), or alternatively the headphone out.

line out will probably be two rca (phono) sockets at the back of the tape deck, this needs to go to the line in on your pc (probably a 3.5mm headphone style jack?) so you need a rca phono to 3.5mm stereo lead.
headphone will be 3.5mm socket, so in that case you'll need 3.5mm jack to jack.
