Ive decided this pack is my last. :). Its done nothing good for me.

Time for me and sweet lady nicotine to part ways.

    Anyone given up before?
Best way to beat cravings and that?

I want to give up. I keep on saying this will be my last pouch of tabaco but i just buy another one. Going out drinking doesnt help me cause i just want to have a ciggy all the time.
Hopw it goes well though. Ill try soon...

Yeah, when I had a chest infection I didn't smoke for 3 weeks, and had no problems at all not smoking, I think I just smoke when I'm bored, :/

True man. I smoke Bensons to get me through the working day although it's only the first one of the day that's any good really. Dont know why I bother.

I don't smoke weed often anymore anyway because of my job, but theres no way I'm stopping smoking it altogether, weeds far healthier than tobacco.

Jaro, yeah man, I find I smoke on lunch, in my car, when I'm walking somewhere, when my mates wanna get fresh air at a rave. Come to think of it, I've never actually smoked when I've been doing something :/

i tend to smoke when im drunk a fair bit, i never ever smoke in the day, just the evenings.. i never actually feel the need for a fag i just enjoy it now and then and constantly when im drunk. guess its all down to you - if your serious about quitting its probs best to try when there arnt any big nights you want to go to, that way you can try and cut out the temptation of the drunk fag

The key to giving up is actually wanting to give up.

If you want to give up then it is easy - just don't smoke.

If you don't really want to give up then you will almost always fail.

The hardest thing for me now is when I have been drinking.

i gave up cigarettes a few times, although i smoked weed almost all day every day, so it didn't really count.

after nearly 20 years of it i've managed to cut down to a very occasional joint, and only a few lugs at that.

my lung capacity is that of a one lunged asthmatic child of 5 now and i get a stitch walking up stairs, but i don't crave nicotine anymore.

    once.

    12 hours when i was 15.

worse 12 hours of my life. and 8 of them were me being asleep.

I'm now assigned to dying a terribly slow and painful death due to some sort of lung disease in the future.

On the up side, that first cig of the morning still gets me hard.

me and the wife gave up about two years ago. She went through the nhs smoking doctor and patches etc, i just went cold turkey and tbh it was easier for me than her. I think going cold turkey is definatly the best way, its still fuckin hard mind you, the first month is torture lol. The only advice i would give is either give up completely or dont bother at all, people that come with all this cutting down rubbish always end up gradualy going back up to the original amount they smoked. And as people have said the hardest cigs to give up are the ones when you're drinking, id suggest not going out drinking for the first month of giving up. good luck mate.

have quitted baccie a long time ago, but have been kaning spliffs after that. that was gradually building up from a couple of drags a night to several bifters years later, so quit that about 4 months ago. am pretty sure the baccie in the spliffs got me hooked again, so in time I will try to occasionally smoke pure (which has a better effect anyway) since I think nicotine is one of the most addictive things on this planet.
