Going for a coupla days straight after Sun & Bass in September (it's a good £100 cheaper to fly home via Rome than straight back to the UK); just wondering if anyone can recommend any fun hostels / cheap-but-nice hotels / shit to prioritise seeing / doing etc etc(?)

first things first, the food. Real italian food beats any of the slightly luxurious crap from pizza express. A lot of the restaurants do a taster menu kinda thing, kinda expensive, but you get a taste of all there is to offer.
