I've been drinking Stella and want to punch a peasant.

If anyone knows any peasants, get in touch please.

I wrote a letter to hr whilst drunk last week telling them how fucked off with everything i was & frankly i think i'm getting the piss taken out of me on a daily basis etc etc...

I gotta have "the meeting" tomorrow, kinda wish i hadn't written it now, although it needed doing.

    Meh.

I did it in a more sober way, told my boss that it wasn't wanted to do etc., gave him some spiel about live the universe and everything, proper Douglas Adams personified.

As of the new year I'll be doing something else, and very excited about it. Hope your HR letter results in something to the same effect, not a "You dirty scumbag. I can't believe you said you'd shit in the secretary's cunt just to get a blowjob off the boss. You have kids!". Likelihood is that it will be though.

Yeah i really can't afford to be out of a job at the mo...

Been applying left, right & centre but everywhere is super long, it seems the recruitment process for companies these days has gone down the route of h&s, in the sense of its so drawn out and painful any common sense descision is completely out the window.

    Drives me fucking crackers

I must be lucky. Although we are understaffed and always will be, my bosses are pretty safe.

If he was alive, certainly. I think I can get away with that on a technicality.

    - - - Updated - - -

My boss is sound and everything, as are most people who work there, been quite lucky in that respect. That's been the only thing keeping me there for the past year or so though, just bored of the work.

I have a couple of fallbacks who I've done some freelance work for, but the world is my lobster currently. Got a couple of months to look around (potentially overseas) and if worst comes to the worst I go to one of the fallbacks for a little while, which pay vastly more than my current job anyway.

Also if I am working away, I'll rent out my house for some extra income, should be able to get nearly double the mortgage so that wouldn't hurt.

oh, i dont know. im doing really well, but missed a promotion the other day. its nice to be the best again though, last three jobs ive had, ive been that guy the new manager fires to show that he is capable and potent and not afraid to put his foot down. the sacrificial clown basically, and its exhausting. now im the best in the team, but the competition is STEEP and im not sure im going to be able to handle it. i might have to fall in line and keep my head down instead of lead, who knows, only time can tell.

but i love my job. love it here. seriously, i do. word to shine.

I hate skilled people who love their job.

Proves that hard work & dedication pays off.

Which makes you all nerds & queers.

Getting a good job that you love is more luck than anything. You need to know a person on the inside to get a step ahead in the interview game.
