its important though bro!! the most important thing to happen in the western world in the last 50 years or something..... and yes... it does effect you... and the people around you.... you might not notice it now... but it will do.....

Things like job seekers is one of the first things that may go if this gets worse.... as well as benefits being lowered..... then the people who do work will have their taxes increased..... they recently cut them to 20%.... it may have to go back up.... and the fact that the Bank of England is having to bale out all this shoddy run banks is even worse......

Bank Of England just took over Bradford and Bingleys 41 Billion Pound mortgage market....... now.... imagin this...... the avergae mortgage payment in this country is just over £900...... right.... now imagin...... 1Million customer not paying their mortgage in one month..... because they cant afford it.... due to the credit crunch....... thats 1,000,000 X 900...... £900,000,000 that the UK tax payer has to pay...... and thats only for 1 month..... you have to go through 3-5 of them before a house gets re-possesed....

potential loss of..... 900,000,000 X lets say 4..... 21Billion! gone..... in 4 months.... which the working people of the UK have to pay......

So.... its important.... thats why its in the news bro!

i'm not saying it's not important, i'm just fed up of having it rammed down my throat. i think we've all accepted there is a global problem (except china), so why every day do they feel they have to report on how bad the economy is since yesterday?

after that im picking up some salmon and brocolli for a pasta sauce and a gram of thai weed. then im going home to work out a breakbeat for the vocalist im hooking up with tomorrow. then weed, spiderman, xbox with my flatmate and girl and so forth.

plus all the ins and outs a normal day in the life of a young man usually has.

...because the Portuguese stock exchange is the hub of the financial world! :teeth:

aint even heard them mentioned, even the Icelandic stock exchange was in the news today coz thier banks have ots of money in English firms

I'm with u on this tho safety, first i quite enjoyed it, primarily for the overly camp australian who does finance reports on the beeb, but it's getting boring now
and i'm starting to think that that the "credit crunch" was jus a rouse to get ppl to into the stream of things, imagine how bad it would be if the banks had started collapsing with no warning, panic!!

they knew it was gonna happen, & weren't we told that Northern Rock was a one off

might be a good idea to move ur funds to a larger bank, "Lloyds TSBHBOS" & HSBC should be a safe bet...

It's only important if you're rich...

...or poor.

the rich get out of it easy, they have collateral but ppl who are 5 years into a 25 year mortgage have so much more to lose...

maybe it's not a bad idea they keep chatting about as alot of ppl obv don't have a clue
