me and the mrs are going for 3 nights in November, I've never been and don’t really know that much about the city. Anybody who can recommend some attractions or give me any info they feel is relevent from previous trip experiences would be great
Theres a guy at work from the Czech Republic, I've never understood a single word thats come out of his mouth yet.
I went there with my old man to watch ice hockey in 2007, and did all the touristy stuff and watched ice hockey and that was awesome. went back this year for a night with my hockey team and got right on the drinking, definitely a good place to get absolutely creamed. guess that isn't what you are aiming for going with the missus? just look at guides on t'internet, all the touristy things are pretty cool and worth seeing as i recall, so that may be more helpful than us telling you how to get battered? also the prices went up a hell of a lot in the few years i wasn't there. like anywhere else though i guess
Don't take your missus & everything is cheap apart from Taxis. Go & shoot some guns & snort lots of Cocaine. Also, don't fuck with the Police there.
I took my mrs in April, was nice. Go on a couple of tours and all that shit.. I could not see how the city had such a following for stag do's etc.. Perhaps I wasnt in the right places but it just wasnt that lively. Still a nice place though!
Moskit knows the ku ha ha ha Some of the bouncers are not to be fucked with either, someone i know had a gun jabbed into their ribs just for taking the piss out of one of them.
i went a few years ago, its an awesome city. saw the cathedral and the royal palaces when i went, which are both cool but not something yuo can do for long. just mooching around is nice, stalin sqaure at the top of the hill is good. other thaqn the architecture (and in my case re-decorating said architecure) i genuinly dont know what else there is to do apart from eat and drink. if you get out of the city centre where its not as touristy its so much cheaper, we got a 2 course meal for 4 people and 20 pints for £40. also there is a general dislike of the english over there, probably due to countless stag do cunts, and the locals will attempt to rip you off with taxi's/food/whatever they can.
i was there a month ago, its a lovely city with lots of little things to see and do.. like the others have said, stick away from the centre if your looking to drink on the cheap. The centre is a tourist trap. Free tours arnt free, they trap you in a courtyard at the end and ask for donations and the guy stands in the exit. watch out for the scammers, some guy tried making me pay 55 quid for a taxi when i was pissed, needless to say i didnt pay that but people will try and fuck you.. I recommend a place called bohemian bagel, all you can drink coffee for 1.50
my mate lived there for a while n siad he was gettin pints for 50p each but he siad his wages were so bad there that he would have to go raising each day just too eat, haha funny fools back in England now though
http://www.google.co.uk/images?rlz=...esult_group&ct=title&resnum=1&ved=0CCMQsAQwAA http://www.sedlecossuary.com/ Go here! bout an hour on train direct from prague! one of the most surreal places you will ever see!!! goin with ma sis next fri, gonna take her here and scare the shit out of her!!! place is decorated with more than 40,000 human skeletons!
Jesus christ dont go in there you wont come out. What a weird place using bones as decloration. I just recently downloaded a set from Prague with Spyda on it and its deadly. And not deadly like the decloration in that place either deadly goooood.
Got back last night and i must say Prague is an awesome city. Gorgeous scenery, cheap ale (and food) and decent clubs. Some bars around Wensesles Square and The Astonomical Clock are English prices, but 2 streets back there are better bars that aren't the usual tourist trap and as well as great service, fantastic surroundings its a pound a pint for some bloody great beer........ We went for a meal everynight we were there and was shocked at the bill everytime! every meal was in a place that was faily up market, 2 starters, 2 mains, 2 puddings and 4-5 drinks each total bill was around £25, cheaper than the drinks bill at home. Managed to catch a Dubstep night Jakes was headling aswell as a DnB night with Total Science. Overall, anyone who hasnt been, id deffo recommend it!
