any1 kno any tips for making drumstep/half dnb?

safe peeps rely wana push ma jump drumstep productions a go but struggling i kno its half time dnb but finding it tricky to produce any tips?

Its not half time dnb by any means, its still the same tempo.. Just half the kicks and snares so to speak..

Tips: Listen to lots of "drumstep"

just make a dnb tune you would consider to be normal then make the beats halftime then rework the tune to it
ive never made a drumtep/blablabla tune before intentionally always make a proper tune into it
what im really sayin is make a good tune fisrt then rework it!haha

for the beats, instead of doing this:

Ya do this:

|k - - - - -k - - - - - k - - - - k - - - - - - k - - - - - - k - - - - -
|- - - - - - - - s - - - - - - - - - - - s - - - - - - - - - - - - s - - -

If that makes sense. You double the distance between the snares and start them on the 9th beat of the bar instead of the 5th. As with normal dnb... the kicks can go anywhere.
