Me again with another noob mixing question...

Some songs have long winded intros without any percusion and are very hard to mix into other songs. Do you guys skip ahead to wear the beat starts and use this portion to beat match and then when you are ready mix go back to the beginning of the song and throw it in from there? Or do you just throw it in from where the beat starts instead?

I have no trouble beat matching, just trouble figuring out where to drop the damn tunes in! And alot of intros really mess me up when im trying to mix, not sure how to avoid this...

    Cheers :moe:

    Can do it both ways.
Always match the beat before throwing in a beatless intro.
Some tracks are bastards and don't even have a clear starting point. Other intros might not have a beat but may have other elements that hit at synced points, u can use them to ensure ur mix is locked!
