I have been trying to create similar synth sounds to the ones in Fresh - Gold Dust, Shockone - Polygon and Spor - Aztec.

It is the colourful, thick synth sounds I am after. I have got kinda close to the Gold Dust synth but it still sounds too 'sawtoothed' instead of smooth if that makes any sense. :|

Anyone have any advice on any of the tunes?

    Cheers

    It's not...

Honestly, it may seem hard at first when you don't know where to start but the basis for this type of synth is probably one of the easiest to learn.

You'll need a multi osc synth like Massive. I use Massive so I'm just gonna use it as the example.

Create 3 saw waves. Pitch one down 12 semitones and one up 7.

Boom. Play with the envelope settings. For the Attack, shorten it and add a little bit of Release to make it "ping" or "pluck."

That's your basic "Gold Dust" "Yeah Yeah" synth. With this synth it's more about the musicality. Adding the 7th semitone is what gives it that chord like major sound.

Add as many effects as you want, the 7th is what give you that harmonic.
