Par for the course really religions have always been into the wipeout game. Look at the map below look at Nigeria and Sudan they're on the fault line between Christianity and Islam and they are both having horrendous problems at the moment. I think this is the sort of thing Angola is trying to avoid.. http://www.aljazeera.com/news/africa/2013/05/201354182639631287.html Plus the stories of how muslim countries like Egypt and Pakistan treats it's Christian populations can't help matters.

Guess ethnic (actually religious) cleansing is a good thing on it's own level. As is having separate countries.

I know off topic but misheard lyrics is funny.

On topic,
Banning religion is stupid. It just creates more tension that will explode into a catastrophe and violence. This is one reason I am grateful to live in the U.S. While we are not perfect, extreme religious fanatics can say what they want all day long. Because of it we don't much religious violence. Certainly nothing that could cause genocide or civil war.

I once was so excited to see a polar bear at a zoo, and when I got to the zoo the bear and I made eye contact. I was awe struck by the raw power of the bear but the bear must of thought, SNACK!!!!! And charge the glass hitting its head and falling backward. True Story.

911 was an attack by outside forces that were pissed at us because of our international political policies. The KKK is nothing more than some crazy raciest. We have plenty of racism and hatred in the U.S., but we also have laws that protect all religions whilst protecting the general population from those religions. This creates a level playing field with opportunity for religious groups to worship freely and have legal discourse if such action is needed. Yes, there are occasions were some religions have been violated, but sooner or later we come back to our first amendment. The law states "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."
Like I said before, we are not perfect. However, if their is one thing I am truly proud to say I am an American for, it is the fact that we are and will continue to be a haven for people who are persecuted in their own country to come and live as they please. Do not get me wrong many people like the Germans, Catholics, Jews, and Muslims had to fight and preserver to gain the respect and acceptance the majority of the country grants them. Non the less, the U.S. affords lovers and haters alike the ability to speak, worship, demonstrate, and release propaganda because they can. We don't always get it right but Winston Churchill once said,"You can always count on Americans to do the right thing - after they've tried everything else."
A damn wise statement. Clever too.
