Its my 21st on the first weekend in October so I want to go to amsterdam with a few mates and get smashed.

Just wondering if anyone got any good places to stay as Ive never been before, can anyone recommend somewhere good to stay. Obviously want it to be near the main parts and not be too expensive!

Cheers for any info on this. Also how much is bud?

bud is anywhere from 4 eur to 12 eur per gram, depending on what you want and where you get it from.
heres a pricelist, greenhouse hotel which incidentally is a coffe shoppe too, http://www.greenhouse-effect.nl/hotel_form.htm
there are cheaper alternatives of course, hostels and so forth.

I went with a mate a couple years back and stayed at a place called Hotel Groenendael.. Really good location, 2 minute walk from central station and my favourite coffeeshops were no more than 5 minutes away! Have to ring them to book it up but they speak perfect english so thats not a problem. I think it was 30euro per person per night?

if you don't mind staying in hostels, the flying pig downtown is really good. great location and well cheap, with a cheap bar. at least that used to be the case when i visited 5 or so years ago.

that website says price per room, and nothing about per person so i would guess that is for everyone, but don't hold me to that.

So apart from coffee shops what's jokes to do? Clubs, art, restaurants, anything really - only there for 4 days and I don't wanna spend my entire time in coffee shops haha, there is more to amsterdam than hookers and weed right?

The Zoo was badman. You get a boat there if I remember correct. I'm not sure though, I was far too blazed the whole time.

    Plenty of museums there too.

When I went we stayed in the hotel just next to central station. Was pretty nice from what I can remember. Go to the Heineken museum aswell. You get like three half pints of beer in sections of it. It's pretty awesome.

Um I got a single flight - cus I'm heading to Outlook through Europe so leaving Holland by train. Think the flight cost maybe £130 - dunno hough can't see the price anywhere on the website. Also my ticket was slightly more expensive cus I'm a massive retard and had to transfer to another flight cus I somehow did it wrong.
