Altar returns for the Summer Session with London’s freshest talent in Urban Dance Music. From the heart of the City’s booming scene Altar presents a FREE night of Dubstep, Garage and Jungle, with special guests SKIPPLE and HYLU plus residents MENTSH and URBAN SOUNDWAVE.
Kicking things off in true summer style, JAM BAR are offering 2-4-1 on selected cocktails until 9pm!
SKIPPLE is a truly promising DJ on the scene; with a residency at the multi-award winning Sub.fm, gigs booked this month all across Europe, not to mention an A&R career at Paul Rose’s Hot Flush Records, which has seen releases from TRG, Scuba and Pangea in the past 12 months. Inspired by producers such as Wookie, Zed Bias and Kode 9; Skipple’s mixes are a smooth blend of old school Garage, Dubstep and House.
Next up, currently working on his debut album set to release in 2010 on Crossing Records; HYLU will be spinning the subby rollers from the depths of Dubstep. Passionate about Reggae, Hylu has a miraculous talent for merging the old with the new with his inspirational remixes that have received ecstatic reactions from dance floors all over London!
Alongside guests will be Altar residents and Garage duo URBAN SOUNDWAVE, who have been flooding the web with their highly influential mixes, recently receiving airplay on BreakBeat.co.uk! Expect to hear flavours of Lenny Fontana, Groove Chronicles and Sticky amongst others from this spectacular set. Last but not least, music manager and Greco Roman’s party proprietor MENTSH will be spinning the toughest Dancehall and Jungle Classics with his truly foundational collection of 7”s.
