Wonder why 1985. I mean I always assumed 1984 was the year he was born or something considering it was the name of his first album.

You're right about 1984. I guess he just wanted to create some sense of continuity hence why adding +1 to the imprint's name.

I seem to remember him saying that it was also a reference to the book 1984, so intuitively I felt like 1985 hey thats post dystopia. Like a resolution. Thats probably just my own inference though.

"Got a little present for you guys tomorrow. Keep an eye on this and the 1985 Music page"

!!!
That gave me chills

Perez is totally back on top form, so great to see (and hear)
Exactly what I think. Not that I didn't like that trap/grime kind of stuff he was (and still is) into, but there's nothing like his deep/liquid/roller vibes. 1984 is still probably one of my favourite Drum & Bass albums ever. And the stuff he is releasing lately makes me think exactly what you said, he's getting back to it, lovely!

Totally agree. Apart from the bit about liking the tap /grime stuff he was making. Great to see him making smooth rollers again though, absolutely loving the recent output.
