Found a new Alex Reece website - pure Reece style. No mention about releases yet. But sample tracks to listen to www.alexreecemusic.com

Sounds a bit kooky. Sort of jazz n bass. Alex Reece was such a big name back in the day...probably needs a bit of warming up.

    Big tune...

his stuff was always jazzy n bass sounding

    ---------- Post added at 19:34 ---------- Previous post was at 19:27 ----------

ok now you making me think so had rumage in records. as well as pulp fiction, feel the sunshine and candles he released loads of stuff under his name like acid lab, basic principals & chill pill. but he also released loads under other names with other people like wax doctor. fallen angels did rapier, biophonic etc . he was also jazz juice, original play boys , jazz master and some other but can't remember names at mo. will have a think.....

    Ozmatic, im in agreement

Pulp Fiction definitely has to be don and i necessarily wouldnt play any of the above tunes out...but they are nevertheless very good, excellent production and fresh for his time. You can't even compare his production to the likes of more recent producers...its a different style. His prodocuction contributed to the sounds we listen too today. I can sit back and relax to his music and thats all that counts, and in my book that makes them on a level with his best releases

And you think they are as big as Pulp Fiction ?

Look im not nocking the guy because he made one of the biggest drum and bass tracks of all dnb history. The track is still being played/bought all the time im just sayin he didnt really progress after Pulp Fiction, Shame really.

dagz i'm with you the man made music you could simply sit back and listen too. pulp fiction was most definitely his finest, no remix compares. lets see what his future holds.....

More like he was pushed down hill.. by Goldie with a cattle prod. He quit the game for some time after Mr Strictly Come Dancing kept his royalties and gave him an infamous hiding @ Fabric when he tried to confront him.. so glad to hear he's back!

Someone posted up a new collab he's done with Utah Jazz in the July top 10 thread. First track here..

Yeah I heard a little about that; he just more or less got rejected I think? Would like to hear the full story sometime (it's sorta analogous to the whole M-Beat fiasco, at least on the surface).

I know it's also a Wax Doctor collab, but I still have a soft heart for this one 'cuz it was first time I discovered Reese as well. Come to think of it, they did a LOT of collabs together.
