Ez, im after an active subwoofer to go along with my KRK rokit RP5's to give me that extra bit of punch. Looked at the krk one but £300 is abit out of budget. Im looking to spend £200 tops but if i can spend less and still get good quality that would be great. These are the best i've found, which is best?!

When you use a sub, you must high-pass the tops so they are not reproducing the same frequencies, otherwise it will just sound shit. That rules out the Wharefdale. (unless you want to blow your budget on an active crossover).

The Skytec 15" has the high pass output, but only in mono. Rule this one out unless you don't care about stereo (or good sound, because Skytec are poo).

The XXL Evidence Active 12" isn't even a sub, it's a full range. Rule that one out.

The iKey has the high pass outputs that you need, it's the obvious choice. It even looks suspiciously like a rebranded KRK...

You connect your mixer's master out to the sub's inputs, then run the sub's outputs to your KRKs.

Alot when you have no job and trying to get out of debt mate!

Can't find it on finance anyway, if there was a way i could pay it in like 5-6 payments whenever i choose then that would be the one!

The reason i want a sub is just to give that extra bit of loudness to take it up a notch when the old dear is out etc.. will a full range speaker like the one i posted in the first post :: http://www.hifi-tower.co.uk/default.aspx?TY=2&ST=1&IT=2029&CT=28& :: be better for this or will a sub do it much better?

EDIT: I've been looking at this. http://www.djkit.com/product.php?id=5827 Worth the buy over the £200 subwoofer? And would i go from the mixer to the line in of this, then my KRK's out from the line out of the speaker?
