The state of play within The Republic of Bass that night is set to be decided soon when the polls open and the true power of democracy gets to work as thousands of discerning party people from across the country vote for their favourites of 2K4.
For the last three years the annual Accelerated Culture D’nB Awards’ have been held at the Sanctuary Music Arena under the banner of The People’s Choice. So far every year approximately 10,000 British bass-heads have played their part in choosing the winners by casting a vote for who they think - in each category - is deserving of a coveted award for that particular year. In the course of its short but outstanding history, the Accelerated Culture Awards concept has been responsible for motivating around 30,000 people to cast a vote for their favourite D’nB artists and pioneers, and has brought together nearly 12,000 people at three national awards parties.
Now, due to the closure of the Sanctuary, we’ve re-launched the awards under the banner of the Republic of Bass and relocated the awards ceremony for Saturday 4 December 2K4 to a state-of-the-art dance music venue, the location of which we’re keeping secret until the release of the main flyer.
We need you to cast your vote by Monday 11th October 2K4 for your favourites in each of the categories available in this years Republic of Bass poll. Your single vote will then be combined with the thousands of others we receive, and from these results (and only these results) the finalists will be decided. The ten finalists who receive the highest number of votes in each category will then be showcased at this years’ awards ceremony, with the winner being the one who gets the most votes in their category. Remember, 1 single vote can make all the difference for your favourites. The power is in your hands. You choose.

Revolution Republic:
Award category for best up and coming DJ / MC
Apply here right now for your chance to perform as a DJ or MC in the Revolution Republic arena at the 2004 Accelerated Culture D’nB awards. To apply you must be a DJ or MC who wants to break onto the mainstream D’nB circuit, but who hasn’t already done it.
You need to send us a mix D’nB CD featuring either your mix (if you’re a DJ) or your lyrical style (if you’re an MC). If we think you’re one of the best we’ll provide you with a 20 minute slot in the Revolution Republic arena at the forthcoming awards ceremony. A panel of three reputable judges will decide by 4am which DJ and MC are the overall winners, who will then receive exclusive Accelerated Culture Revolution Republic award certificates and be invited to perform a 20 minute set in the main hyper-arena.
