good afternoon Drum and Bass Forum!

have a quick question:
basically, i have been doing a radio show for some time now and was looking to spice it up... any advice on what to include etc?

currently my show is 30 mins. most of the show is me on the decks (about 20 mins) then i talk about the dnb scene for 5 mins or play a quality new tune, then i do a mini "5 songs, 5 minutes, one album" mix (exactly as it sounds, 5 tracks of one album in 5 minutes)

the problem is: my show is going to be extended to an hour in a few weeks time, any thoughts on what to fill the rest of the time with?

thanks guys

p.s. (a quick plug for the station) please check out the Radio Robot website http://www.radiorobot.co.uk and the brand new forum http://www.radiorobot.co.uk/forum/index.php - on the look out for new DJs atm, if your interested please contact me!

You could do things like - Old School Tune of the Week, New Producers tune of the week, Undiscovered gem try and get your taste in there somewhere so people start to trust you as a radio show host so they come back. Be different.

you guy's know your stuff, liking what i am hearing!
(with ideas like that there is always a slot on Radio Robot for you if you wanted a show :D)

ok, i like the undiscovered gem and old school idea, maybe play an classic track in full then talk a little about the scene at the time...
defiantly going to get my musical views in there a bit more

to tie in with the whole 5 min 5 song 1 album mix i do, thinking themed mixes, i.e. record label, producer, 'tracks that feature movie quotes' that sort of thing?
