So I was thinking, why don't we have a monthly forum members podcast? Theres a great amount of DJs and producers who post up on here who have got masses of skills and it would be a great way of showcasing them. What does everyone else think??

Good idea, or how about a dnb forum radio show and all the members who want 2 participate can make a schedule and take turns on who's night it will be.

Had a thought about this the other day, dnbforum podcast would be a great idea, few things to bear in mind tho - hosting of webspace to download podcasts can be expensive, Lifted had issues when they were over-whelmed at how many people downloaded their podcasts.

Also content is a major factor - is it just mixes from any A list djs we can rope into it and regular peeps on here, or is it a handfull of producer/djs (y'all know who im getting at fellas!) contributing a show with common features on rotation, eg chart, features, etc?

Maybe the winner of the mix competition does a mix of tunes produced by dnbforum members and sticky it in the mix section.

there's definatly a lot to think about a lot of ways many people could get involed.
    such things like
    dnbforum - unsigned dj exposure
    dnbforum - unsigned producer exposure
the possibility of gettin dnbsource involved with a weekly/monthly top ten?
    dnb single/album/gig reviews
obviously trying to get bigger/up and comming djs involved within it
dnb 'history' lessons/classic tracks and producers

lots and lot to think about.

ultimately final decision lies with Stu & Mike about things like this, but if the concept, means of distribution, and presenters were all sorted, so others ran it, i dont see them having a problem.

Perhaps a poll with some vital research is in order?

just found this - its a free podcast directory & hosting website, looks pretty good from what I just read, could very well be a solution to the hosting aspect. you even get offered advertising and funding if your podcast does well!

    http://www.mypodcast.com/create.html :gaywhite:

Fook it, lets action this, it can go unofficial dnbforum if the bosses have issues :teeth:

Us at Passive/Aggressive are lined up to do a dnb pirate show, so weve been thinking alot about content for shows. Listeners expect more than a mix now as a podcast.

Personally think a show-like podcast is the way forward, feature a spotlight on talent on here feat 3 tracks by said artist, really like the idea of Ray getting us a chart from dnbsource, do a top 5 unsigned tunes from the production forum, short mix from established dj (20 mins of so), 'trip down memory lane section' with a classic tune or 2 selected by the host, and whatever else we can fit in! :teeth:

what you think Smarty an forum regs?
