So whats working for you? What are the must have plugins for the 90's sound in 2014?

The sounds massively coming back around again in the UK with a handful of big tracks in the top 40 every week. Tunes like: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kv_cwzAIOHs&feature=share are blowing up!!

So far I think the staples are things like:

    EXS24 909 kit (Any better 808 / 909 kits?)
Korg M1 plug (Bass, Synths + Pianos!)
TAL U-N0 plug (Juno bass sound!)

What else is out there on the synth, sampler and rompler front?

Good FX recommendations would be nice also!

yes well if you want things to sound old, there is a vsti sampler called morgana, a stand alone app called akaizer that does the exact same algorithm as the classic akai sampler, a vsti called "pad maker" that makes that classic 90s pad, jeroen breebarts tape saturation plug used to be good for adding some dirt to stuff and then i cant remember, its been a while since i was making drum and bass tbh

Orbital talk about what they used on the Classic Chime, and probably on further releases.
