Aye up. I'm kinda new to the whole production side of things, I say 'kinda' because I did do two different music technology courses using Cubase, but I only really learnt a few basic things about composing music, infact, I only learnt how to use samples a couple months back... Anyway, I've made my first track after after getting my head round Ableton, so tell me what you think. Any criticism is very much welcome as long as you tell me what I can do to improve!

Also, if anyone could give me tips on how to create dark, growling basslines, like Noisia's signature kind of bassline, that would be amazing!

Anyway, linkage!- http://www.myspace.com/5htpmusicuk

The drums are sick on this tune man, maybe the kick could do with being more pronounced but i think its kl. Noisia bass lines require mad processing, reckon they use multiple envelopes. Ive gotten like a 16th of way there i'd say when it comes to trying to replicate them. Good luck, and respect for the track, pretty catchy.

good for your first track mate. Maybe a little bit computer gamey. Thats just my opinion mate.
Just keep at it. Half the fun of producing is finding out stuff by accident.
Checkout you tube for tutorials and dogsonacid forum. loads of good advice.
peace

Cheers fior the kind words! I've done a bit of research on layering drum loops and stuff, so gonna work on that. Should have a new track up soonish! :)
