BFM and GBH team up once again to bring you the undisputed champions of bass music, their current album 'NO MORE IDOLS' sitting nicely in the top 5 in the uk charts, these guys have done it all and don't seem like slowing down anytime soon.
On April 14th, BFM & GBH are very proud to present the New York debut of seminal artists CHASE & STATUS alongside MC RAGE at the Hiro Ballroom, alongside the mind blowing 4 deck sets of HELLFIRE MACHINA and a very special b2b set from DJ ODI with UK's CABBIE. We are also proud to announce another UK artist, ARKIST to the bill with NYC's rising stars VAL MOLANO and CRISIS KID to complete the Lineup.

They met at Manchester University through their mutual love of drum and bass in the mid nineties and have DJ'd ever since, waiting until 2004 for their first production, a remix for Future Cut (better known these days for their production work with Lily Allen). It was followed by a series of drum and bass anthems for the biggest underground labels including 'Duppy Man' for Breakbeat Kaos (home of Pendulum's platinum selling debut album) in 2005 and 'The Druids' EP for DJ Zinc's trendsetting Bingo label a year later. RAGE got introduced into the world of music via his family home were it was forever present this gave him a healthy love for all forms of music. Checking out his own family roots he came across the legendary Reggae imprint Studio 1 home to Bob Marley and Rages Uncle who performed & produced under the artist name of Michigan & Smiley. Seeing them tour the UK in the 80s inspired him to start writing lyrics. Continuing to listening to Reggae, Jazz, Soul,Metal, Funk, Rock & Hip-Hop and growing up amongst the Hip-Hop movement of the late 70s & early 80s confirmed his interests in rapping & performing whilst listening to artists like; Ice T BodyCount ,Big Daddy Kane, Eric B & Rakim, LL Cool J, Public Enemy,Rage Against,The Machine Tribe called Quest,NWA, too name but a few!

Since the projects birth, late 2008, Hellfire Machina have literally exploded into the worldwide bass culture scene. From A&R and production credits on last years Wu Tang Enter The Dubstep album - 30 plus single releases and remixes - Running the biggest dubstep monthly in New York City - Holding down DJ residencies all over the country - To recently producing 6 tracks for Brand Nubian's latest project Enter The Dubstep volume 2. It's now 2011 and already these guys don't seem to be showing any signs of slowing down.

Odi as he is known to the world, does not look like the type to have a group of beautiful women fawning over him. And yet, there are several that I have to get through to talk to him. People murmur “respect” as we walk outside. Their admiration is not underserved. Odi, is in great part responsible for the entire style of jungle music in NYC. “I can’t think of anything that makes me happier,” he says. “Every show makes me better.”
Jungle or drum&bass is one of the evolutions of the 90s electronica wave, characterized by an emphasis on fast-paced breakbeat and prominent bassline. It was then, back in its formative years that Bronx-born, Harlem-raised Odi entered the scene and gave it his kind of direction. “I grew up around 125th street , the home of hip hop. So it was natural to be an aggressive DJ, putting in the hip hop elements. It’s what I know.” His break came around after high school, when running promotions for the famous NASA rave parties at Club Shelter grew into a steady DJing slot. From there, Odi and some childhood friends who shared a lifestyle, culture and musical interest began pumping out electronic records with their own signature twist.

Over the past several years, DJ Cabbie has firmly established himself as one of the leading production masterminds in Drum & Bass music. His uplifting and bass heavy tracks have provided the dance floor masses with an excuse to skank out all over the world, gracing some of the most prolific labels in the industry and reinforcing his dominance within the jump up genre.

Whether it’s djing across South Texas or New York playing alongside Headliners such as DJ Icey, Q-Bert, Keith Mackenzie, DJ Fixx, Designer Drugs, Hellfire Machina, LionDub, Odi, Dara, Vibesquad, Glitchmob and many more, V brings the proper bass to the place when she gets behind the decks! She started as a hard house DJ in 2001 and over the years transformed into a real chameleon selectress mixing tech, electro house, breaks, fidget and dubstep throughout San Antonio & Austin Texas. In the end of 10' she moved to NYC and has been bass mobbin the scene in Upstate New York, Brooklyn and NYC droppin a unique blend of dubstep, glitch & hip hop!

A breakthrough force on the NYC underground, DJ/Producer Crisis Kid has been turning heads with powerful sets and original productions. His strong sense of connection with the crowd provides for an energetic and unrepentant immersion of sound waves. Boundless in variation and uncanny to progression, this marvel of mayhem never restricts himself to a certain conception of genre. Crisis Kid is currently involved both in the EDM and Hip Hop scenes with goals of becoming an integral part to the music community.
