Hi everyone,

How many of you guys use 32nd and 64th notes/hits/divisions on your drum patterns.

I did once, but it is hard to gauge exactly where you are in the bar when using 64ths. Timing becomes a problem and i have a problem getting used to it.

For instance, one of my favorite songs:

Ed Rush + Optical - Raven

The first drum pattern contains 16th hits.

When you get to about 1:08 you hear a sorta metallic sounding shuffle that sounds like 32nd notes. If this is true please confirm this with me as I am trying to reproduce this intermediate shuffle to spice things up and make the song unpredictable.

The rest of the song however is pretty much 16th patterns.

Thanks!

Thanks Kama, I thought I was the only one that didn't use them.

Sometimes I have some really wicked drum patterns flowing but I regret not being able to make intermediate fast beats that shuffle, i.e with 32nd notes. Guess it's no big deal!
