2 x Tune ID please

Please excuse the quality of these soundclips, I had to use my phone to record them whilst driving so it sounds pretty tinny.

First tune is pretty old, probably mid to early 90's and I think its a remix because its slightly different to the one I've mostly heard.
The Chorus comes in at 1:16 which I'm pretty sure someone will recognise instantly.

Second one I heard today and has a sample of LL cool J "hard as hell" from rock the bells. I started recording after that sample so it may well have been a different tune that was mixed into this one.
