Is there a new old school scene i am missing out on or is this quite a small, sporadic genre? Can't say i have noticed much worth it being a thing. I like this a lot though.

I'm liking this alot also. I would say it's a small genre with artists trying to bring it back to life or at least a nod to that style. Here's a few LP's worth checking out: Manix - Living in The Past, Specail Request - Soul Music and Zomby - Where Were U' In 92?
