Hybrid need little introduction in the world of dance music, Mike Truman and Chris Healings have been writing, producing, touring and DJing all over the globe for the best part of a decade and have amassed nearly 250 productions to date. Their big break came back in 1994 when an infamous Hong Kong DJ called Lee Burridge gave a copy of their single 'Symphony' to Sasha, which then went on to be included in his and John Digweed's Northern Exposure compilation.

Since then, the Wales based duo have written two LPs, 'Wide Angle' which was released in 1999 and Morning Scifi, released in 2003 on their long standing record label, Distinctive Records. The recording session of 'Wide Angle' took Chris and Mike to Moscow to record with the 85 piece Russian Federal Orchestra at MOS Film Studios, to New York to record David Lynch's chanteus Julie Cruise and to Paris to record with Parisian rapper Soon E MC. The LP is a blend of widescreen cinematic reference mixed with the throb of the newly forming break beat culture germinating in London. Subsequently from the release in the US on Warner's Kinetic Records, the duo were hand picked by Moby to support him on his fall of 2000 North American tour which covered 43 dates over 56 days, from LA to New York. This gave the fledgling band time to get ready for a punishing global tour over 18 months which landed them along with drummer Brynleigh Madge and scratch DJ Jamie Griffiths as far afield as Australia, Japan for the Fuji Rock Festival, Melboure for the Millenium NYE, across Europe and back to the UK to headline many festival tents and concert venues.

During the album sessions and touring dates, Mike and Chris have remixed a vast array of artists now totalling over 120, including Alanis Morrisette, Future Sound Of London, Jean Michelle Jarre, UNKLE, Radiohead, REM, Moby, Carl Cox, Crystal Method, BT, Sarah McLachlen and The Orb to name only a few. The live act then embraced a newer rockier sound with the help of the vocal talents of Adam Taylor, Groove Amada's Tim Hutton and guest Peter Hook from New Order.

The second LP was debuted at Miami's WMC festival, Ultra and another bus tour of North America kept them on the road throughout the fall of 2003. Morning Sci-Fi's more fragile and darker sound has led them to getting involved with scoring for film and the duo worked with Harry Gregson Williams in January 2004 on Tony Scott's 'Man On Fire'. Since then they have been involved in the production of the score for Ridley Scott's 'Kingdom Of Heaven' and the latest Tony Scott film, 'Domino' and have recently completed their first solo score for Twisted Pictures newest production, 'Catacombs'.

Hybrid has recently released their third LP 'I Choose Noise' featuring, amongst others, Perry Farrell from Jane’s Addiction and the scoring talents of Harry Gregson Williams. Continuing the cinematic theme the album features the 36 piece Seattle Orchestra known for their work on many big Hollywood movies. The summer of 2006 sees them continuing their global live and DJ dates in Australia, USA, Asia and the top festivals across Europe and the UK. The duo return to the US every month for their East Coast residency for Liquified at 1150 in Atlanta and the West Coast residency at Avalon in Hollywood. I Choose Noise was released on Distinctive Records in September 2006.
