And now for the third chapter in the Summer Vibe series. This one might not be as tight as the other two but it should still bring you summer time joy into your misserable winter commutes. This time I've featured two new records in with the 1992 sellection: Dylan Drazen's Icontrol and Tomie Nevada's Memorylane 7. Both are suppose to be tech-house but they sound more like 'Ardkore to me, in particular the B1 side of Mr. Nevada's record. For the real geeks out there I'll have to mention that I made two digital edits, one in the second track and another in the last. This was done to get the length down to 79 minutes for CDR burning. Anyway I hope you N-joi.

(Note: The drawing in this cover comes from someones post on the Nile message board. It was being made fun of on the board for not being metal enough. Its not metal, I doubt that what the scene is suppose to be. It looks more like an old drawing from the early 90s that would have been featured in s black and white rave zine. I really liked it so I thought afterwards that it would work nice as a mixtape cover.)

maybe it's old news, but Dylan Drazen's "Icontrol" samples a eurodance tune "Take Control Of The Party" by B.G. The Prince Of Rap, from 1991..
so there is some early 90s spirit in that :D

Peace

The original source of that vocal is certainly B.G The Prince of Rap "Take control of the party (Joey Beltram remix)" however I am 99% certain that he sampled the Cosmos and Dibs record which samples the BG track because of two things A). The Cosmos and Dibs version adds a rising and falling sine wave bass line which is present in the Dylan Drazen version and B). I've been to Dylan's apartment and I know he has the Speed Limit vol.2 CD which has a clean version of the Cosmos and Dibs track.
