Essence of Chi are proud to present the fifth (yes, already!) instalment of out monthly night on 16th June at Plan B, Brixton’s premier bar and club, and this month we have quite possibly our freshest line up yet!
Our headlining special guest for June is none other than one of the fastest rising and brightest stars in the drum n bass scene DJ FLIGHT. Those of you that listen to her weekly BBC 1 Xtra show or have caught her sets at Swerve or Metalheadz will already know that Flight is truly Miss Versatile, mixing deep and heavy rhythms with chopped up beats and liquid flows, not to mention her production skills under the guise of “Alias” alongside the amen king Breakage.
We also welcome new Liquid V signings, production trio, COMMIX to Essence of Chi, most of you will have heard their soulful remix of Die’s “Autumn”, but expect more fresh plates from these guys as they take to the Plan B decks.
Now for something we’ve all been waiting for, world famous STAMINA MC will be swapping his mic for decks in an exculsive 2 hour Back 2 Back special with our resident DJ T1, many will not know that this man has been a dj long before his mc days and comes armed with a boxful of hot new dubz!
Our final guest DJ MACH 4 comes all the way from Dubai to warm us up with his very own “Globalfunk” sound. Mach 4 has played alongside many star dj’s in Dubai including Andy C and his “Globalfunk” night is going from strength to strength.
Once again our prized resident DJ KANE will be in his Essence of Chi hat and playing his usual deep & solulful set as he graces Plan B with his selection this month.
June sees two very special guest Mcs at Essence of Chi: The one and only SP:MC of Emcee Recordings, Rengade Hardware and appearances with London Elektricty,to mention only very few. We are delighted that he will be adding Essence of Chi to his list. Next we have Inperspective’s MC Q’DINI who any Technicality fans will already know and love, and any who don’t know better get to know!
Finally Essence of Chi MC LOWQUI will no doubt still be breaking out the champagne in celebration of the news of his new affiliation with the mighty Metalheadz camp…Essence of Chi is reaching boiling point this Summer!
