    hi moonglow
    no
dnb is decided upon its tempo.
    160-180 bpm = yes
    anything else = dubstep

your already well aware of this.

I'd love to hear Skrillex do a proper dubstep remix of it.

this is 155bpm... so doesnt mean anything really. Sounds like a hip hop beat but at a really high tempo.

    this is 160bpm..

A lot of the footwork juke stuff is between 150 - 165 bpm.

no no no! embers breaks have that distinct drum pattern, remember?!

    this is clearly reesebreakstep. :carlton:

    also,

that tune is actually 165 bpm - a significant difference! :2thumbs:

Actually it's a mixture of tempo and the type of beats used...or if it's a close tie then the 'feel' of the track comes into play. However Ted's close enough with that post. And your tune's clearly the catch all 'breaks' genre although I've never been that arsed to come up with sub genres for it. Bet someone else has though.

Is that really you Moonglow? You still think those digi-shops lied to you about your album sales?

    hi mate.

I never said they were lying, I just wanted to see how accurate Buzzdeck (a tool for labels) is! .. thanks for buying my release really appreciated.

Needless to say it's all pretty whacky, I get sales from 4 months ago ever 15 of the month. September saw almost 100 albums but I only get the money on 15 Jan. Sucks.

that's why I need to switch distributor. safe

actually the distinct rolling sound is created by the sticks, which make it sound faster than it really is.

I really liked your album mate. Why do they make you wait four months though...seems a bit cruel?

No no this is ember breaks its a new genre Pecavi created, its not dubstep because its faster and its not DnB because its slower, but it has special Ember percussion that emulates a high bpm, its unique and thereby called Ember Breaks !!!
