Dirtyphonics have become a worldwide phenomenon with their highly acclaimed and original live performances, DJ sets and their refusal to be defined by just one genre of music. With cutting edge releases, all of which are revered for seamlessly fusing electronic music with drum and bass, electro, dubstep, hip-hop & breaks, coupled with their recent win at the DNB Arena Awards, there’s no doubt that Dirtyphonics are the most exciting thing to happen to electronic music in a very long time.
Playte, Capskod, Pho, Pitch In and MC Youthstar all met through a mutual vision of music. All have been friends for a long time and each of them brings something unique to the creative process. With two designers within the group, they are also responsible for the artwork and graphics used in their sleeves and videos.
Dirtyphonics began performing the live act all over France in 2006 and grew a loyal, yet underground following across Europe. In 2008, the boys got a major break when their debut release ‘French Fuck’ came to Shimon’s attention. Immediately, ’French Fuck’ was released on Shimon’s Audioporn imprint, with ‘Bonus Level,’ a quirky video game inspired track on the B side.
Shimon wasn’t the only heavyweight to take notice, with Dirtyphonics receiving plenty of respect and plays from Pete Tong, Annie Mac, Andy C, Chase & Status, Marky, Hype, and Kissy Sell Out– undoubtedly some of dance music’s biggest international selectors.

Dirtyphonics proved themselves as a musical force to be reckoned with once again in August 2009 when they picked up the award for ‘Best Newcomer Producer’ at the DNB Arena Awards, much to the delight of the thousands of fans and industry insiders who voted for them.
“One of the great aspects of being a band is that you get a continuous creative flow, resulting in not only great ideas, but downright weird ones. We love music in general and we want to explore it as far as possible. We want our sound to grow and evolve with us, pushing the boundaries and developing the style of Dirtyphonics at the same time”.

Confident. Exuberant. Raw. Innovative. These are just a few of the words industry insiders and fans have used to describe the talent behind one of America’s favorite house DJs, Donald Glaude. Ranked 68 on DJMag.com’s Top 100 DJs List in 2005, Donald skyrocketed to 48 this year and his genius keeps on growing…
Before Donald few DJs had attempted to spin house records. Donald’s fine ear helped him give birth to a new style. After mastering his craft, Donald began DJing in various clubs around Tacoma and Seattle. During that time he made several important connections which would launch his music to the forefront of what was quickly becoming one of the largest underground movements since New Wave in the late-70s. Perhaps the greatest connection Donald made was with another aspiring DJ and friend, DJ Dan.
Together Donald & DJ Dan sparked the rave scene in Seattle and developed large followings. Knowing that Donald possessed an energy and ability to work the crowd that was unparalleled to anyone else on the circuit, Dan convinced San Francisco’s legendary Funky Tekno Tribe to bring down his good friend Donald to play at one of their parties. Donald’s talents quickly made him a permanent fixture on F.T.T.’s roster.
Continuing to be “The Hardest Working American Dj” Donald has many new projects planned for this upcoming year. He has a tour scheduled with “America’s Most Beloved Dj” Dj Dan and he also has another new CD releasing in 2007. Also expect new release from both of his labels Eden Recordings and Durty Records. You have seen him use his musical talents from bring his experience in playing bass, percussion, violin and then moving on to the turntable just show us his grasp on music. To mastering the turntable and then on to recently turned Serato user always expect the unexpected when you come see Donald Glaude………
