BORN AND RAISED ON THE MEAN STREETS OF SOHO, PROSPEKT, AKA ALEX, STARTED HIS MUSICAL JOURNEY WHEN HE WAS 7, WHEN HE STOLE A JUNGLE MANIA TAPE FROM JEREMY KYLE. IT WAS AT THIS MOMENT THAT ALEX KNEW HE WANTED TO BE PART OF 'THE SCENE'.
AT THE AGE OF 17, HE WAS ALREADY BEING TOUTED AS SOHO'S ANSWER TO DJ HYPE. HE DID VARIOUS WARM UP SETS BEFORE THE DOORS OPENED IN CLUBS HOSTING MAJOR NAMES SUCH AS DJ HYPE, CLIPZ, AND MANY MORE. IN 2006, HE ACHIEVED HIS BIG BREAK WHEN HE PROSPEKT REALISED HE WAS BIG IN THE GAME. IT WAS AFTER THIS POINT WHEN HE STARTED GETTING GIGS AT BIG EVENTS SUCH AS DUSTFEST 09 AND THE BIG CLANG 07.
AFTER RECEIVING SEVERAL OFFERS, PROSPEKT JOINED G-13 RECORDINGS, WHO HELPED DISTRIBUTE HIS FIRST INTERNET RELEASE, 'SWEET STEAMS' IN 2007, PROSPEKT IS A FIGHTER AND SINCE 2009 HAS BEEN LOCKED IN THE STUDIO PERFECTING HIS CRAFT. SUFFICE TO SAY, THE DRUM AND BASS SCENE SHOULD BE EXPECTING BIG THINGS FROM PROSPEKT IN 2010.
Glad rapture turned out for the best. It's always good playing out to the crowd and the fact that the night was a success means that if they're not inviting you back then your profile has been raised around leeds which is quality. Are they going to do another?
Wish I could have made it down to the xmas bash and would be well up for another one in the new year. All good at my end. The last Foundation of the year turned into a lock in and ended up staying till 5. Which was badass.
