So basically I'm trying to learn how to make those breaks (I believe they're amen breaks). But I'm fairly new to this so I can distinct the basic kick snare and high hat, but some websites say there's more to it. Can someone help me with this, and maybe point out some sample packs for liquid hats/tambourines/kicks/snares etc.

I think one of the breaks is the 'think break' pitched up and highpassed aswell as the amen but i could be wrong. Trying to recreate a break using 1hit samples isnt a good idea, you just cant seem to get the feel and flow with 1hits, unless your skilled as fuck. So just find a kick and a snare and 2 or 3 hats that work with the break or breaks your using. Highpass the breaks so you just hear that good flow of the hats and maybe a tad of the snare ( you can eq them anyway you want really) then lay in your kick, snare and hats over the top. Make sure that your breaks aren't overpowering your 1hits tho

yep, use think break, amen's ride (I think) the snare and the kick are most likely one shot
