one of his songs was just on heart. what is the world coming to when heart fm play kanye west. i tune in to hear the dirty dancing soundtrack or maybe a bit of lionel richie, if i wanted to hear crap chart rap, i'd listen to radio 1, like the rest of the youth who can't decide for themselves what music they should like.

and he's not what hip hop should be about, yet he's the biggest hip hop superstar. i even feel for fiddy having to compete with him. as for poof daddy, well that guy is the biggest quendo on the planet.

I think that Kanye West is pretty good, compared to most hiphop these days. Not the best rhymer but his beats are spot-on (y)

loved his 1st album what came out in 2004 'college dropout', it was before he was a proper 'superstar' and his album was defiently somthing differnt for hip-hop, it wasnt like all the other stuff about in hip-hop (about the hood, weed and bitches lol).

The beats are good, and some the spits are really intelligent.
Got classics pn that album as well, like jesus walks, all falls down, never let me down, family biz, and last call.

I couldnt wait for his second album, but when I finally got it, it was complete shit. Probily listened to it twice. Awful album imo

The geezer is a complete prick though. So far up his own arse, love to smash him in the face.

Ive heard a few tracks off his 3rd album though, and gotta admit they quite good, that flashing lights is a tune, and the one with chris martin.

is it his hard hitting lyrics 'my best friend said she used to fuck with usher, plus what i heard she got a baby by busta'?

or perhaps his ground breaking cloabs with chris 'it was all yellow' martin and the queen who sings like a lad who lost his balls from maroon 5.

it just seems like hip hop used to offer so much more, it could excite or offend or just provoke some reaction, which good music should do, kanye is just bland. he should be locked in a room with ice t for five minutes*

yeah fair enuff, i even said Kanye was a prick, and that all his stuff (apart from his 1st album) was wank. I just said that the 1 with chris martin, they play on the radio is catchy and quite good. But his music is aimed at main-stream, and he's tryin to sell records (sell out lol) and his songs are considerd jokes, to be liked by kids and that.

But sayin Jay-Z is shit, thats just wrong.
You cant like hip-hop and not have respect Jay-z, and what he's done in his time.

man went soft is all i'm saying, blame beyonce, blame the dollar, blame chart success, blame god for all i care, but i definately lump in the same category as kanye and plum piddly. they forgot what hip hop is about. honestly, when a rapper raps about being in love, he loses it, that's what r&b is for, leave that shit to usher and have some self respect man.

i dont dress hip hop or spin on my head when i dance.
i dont eat a hip hop breakfast nor do i eat a hip hop dinner. i do not care about pop music or anything else media wants to shove down my throat.
i dont care about jay-z or whatever it is hes done in his time.

i listen to rhymes flow and beats. hans just turned me on to ray long, you know him? amazing rapper
