I used to work at PC World and I can vouch that SOME of the staff know what they're on about. However a lot of people in the store I worked didn't even own computers so..

If you are going for a job there I would recommend being a sales advisor, easily the best wage going in that place! As long as you can sell!

Technicians job was easy though, sitting down most of the day putting graphics cards in and running virus scanners! You would prolly have to serve one or two customers, but it's the easy life.

The main annoyance is the training schemes, they arn't optional, and they are lonnnng!

I would imagine they meant it's not something they sell, but as I said in my above post some of them don't even own computers, so they don't have a clue about anything that's not mentioned on the show cards.

i only went in to get a video card coz my old one was fucked and i cudnt be arsed to order online. the desperation drove me to pc world.
