Citronic CDJ players

i hear what your saying mate. but 1. its my first set of decks so it will just be a starter kit to get me going, and 2. i wouldnt have the money buy some pioneers anyway. (however if i still enjoy mixing down the line in a few years or so ill definately look into getting some pioneers for sure).

cant help you with the citronic ones im afraid...

but try looking at these for a few non-pioneer options that you might be able to stretch too. (750 quid for the pair of denons isnt bad)

I would go for Denon just on principle. It is a bit of a piss take from pioneer increasing the price on the 800s and 1000s .

have you thought about something like this??

http://www.decks.co.uk/products/kam/KHD410

as there are no moving parts, it could (in theory) be ok.... cheap cd decks often have problems reading cds, skipping etc. plus you dont have to waste any mroe money on blank cds...
happy days:gaywhite:

the Denon's and Stanton's are a bit above my budget unfortunately. i did see that Kam USB one actually and it looks pretty decent but i would prefer to have CDs to use and mix with. plus i have loads of blank CDs so its not a problem :D

I've heard good things about the Stanton decks. But the look is quite a turn off. I pre-ordered these Numark decks (http://www.decks.co.uk/products/numark/NDX400)... I hope I don't get owned. I started out with a Numark TotalControl and it wasn't the greatest thing, but it was a great learning with. My Vestax VCI-100 wasn't much better. I'm still a beginner so I wanted to make the jump to CDs so I can learn how to mix properly. If the CD doesn't work... I can fall back on my USB. Atleast hopefully.

dont expect much from the CD side of thing on the numarks. i bought the old axis 9s and they both stopped reading the cds after a while...
but maybe the USB will be ok...good luck. maybe post up some feed back after a few weeks/months. id be interested to hear how they are.

-the stantons do look different but, but i can live with that if the thing works.

I know it seems like a stretch. and i know what its like to want to get a set up so you can start mixing, but do have a think about those denons. great reviews and they have the usb thing as well. just do a bit more overtime!

if you get the citronics, post up some feedback/review, would be interested to hear if they are ok cus ive heard nothing about them

ive got a pair of those, and love them, never had a problem with them, would highly recommend them for the price.

if youve got abit more money, but not enuf for pioneers get the next model up, which has better scratch function (this one is still solidly good tho), aswell as a slot cd draw(like pioneers) rather than pop out tray.

imo, i wouldnt spend money of pioneers unless going out for the 1000 mk3s, if i was looking at any model lower i'd just buy these citronics again

I've used them before and they are absolutely fine. Will do the job for a beginner no worries (y)

cheers for the feedback guys. i think im either gonna go for these Citronic's or the Gemini 505's. so if anyone has any info or feedback on the 505's, that would be most helpful :)

Cool Pat, let us know how you get on... And ffs look after them, they aint built to take abuse
