Si Begg is a DJ, producer and recording artist based in London with over 70 releases, who began releasing wonky genre defying electronica in 1993. A prolific artist, Si has released records under a variety of monkiers including Buckfunk 3000, Cabbage Boy, Bigfoot, Dr Nowhere vs The Maverick DJ, and S.I. Futures. His own label Noodles is often the condiut for his creativity. While Si Begg might be loosely described as a dance or techno artist his records are wildly eclectic and draw elements from across many musical divides. He spent many years on the label Mute records, with artists like Plastikman, Depeche Mode, Goldfrapp, Luke Slater, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Atomic Hooligan and Underworld. His production work has paired him with acts like Coldcut and Christian Vogel.
His new project, Jetlag and Tinnitus has seen him at the forefront of experimentation, with a number of Free tracks being released digitally.
STEPBACK join forces with Pins & Needles to bring the ambassador of electronic music back to Edinburgh for a Scottish exclusive 3 Hour Set.
