Hey guys,
I've posted on a few diff forums and looked at reviews online at quite a lot of monitors and the same two pairs that a lot of people keep mentioning to me are the.
KRK RP5 G2 Monitors & The Samson Rubicon 5A

I was wondering if anyone on the forum has experience with either of these and could give me some pro's and con's and what you think would be better out the two or even a different alternative set of monitors.

Thanks :D

Go somewhere where you can listen to them and compare the two, your the one who'll be listening to them for hours on end so its what sounds best to you.

Asking arounds a good way to see what the best in your price range are, but theres no point buying monitors purely on what other people say.

This is your answer right here. Go listen to a pair of monitors and decide, no one can hear FOR you.

on the second hand I have KRK RP5 and I'm happy with them.

yep... i went to buy the KRKs for near field
monitoring and ended up taking the rubicons
home after ab-ing them...

more definition int the mid range...
better stereo image and depth of field
and the roll off noticeably lower...

the ribbon tweeters in rubicons are
fantastic...

the krks sounded dull in comparison...
the one good thing i noticed about the
KRKs and something alot of people mention
is that they are very low fatiguing monitors..
i def found this to be true...

but yeah take some music you know really
well and listen to them side by side and
make your choice...

it helps to take in a full spectrum dance
track... will help you gauge the response
across the their whole range....
but also take in something with vocals esp
female and maybe a classical track as
they are recorded generally better than anything
else on the market... will help you better judge
the definition of the monitors and not just
how low they go...

but make sure they are tunes you know...
and you know they are well recorded/produced...
