Giles - One Step Forward, Two Steps Back

My second offering. This one is a mellow one, comedown music if you can call it that. Not sure if its even dnb, probobly get away with calling it minimal dnb but its more electronica to be fair. It is in dnb speed though. Any feedback would be great as always.

I really like the sub bass here. Personally, I feel like the melody and some of the sounds that come in are a bit...i dunno....cheesy? A bit like they could be from zelda or something haha. Just my opinion though.... The ideas good, just think you need to work on making it sound a bit more 'edgy'. Good work!

definitely sounds like music for a videogame, still really nice tune though i like it, it reminds me of phantasy star online

My speakers are rubbish so I cant really pick up subs.

I enjoyed listening to this. Definitely room for improvement in regards to blending it all together, chopping and changing bits to keep the listener interested.

I know it's a 'minimal' style track but intermittent percussion would break the tune up well, like some bongos, or a subtle break sweeping in and out.

Also, that hook line that comes in from when the tune gets going could use some processing. It comes across a bit loud over the mix and adding a little phase or chorus would keep it from being too repetitive.
